ACTIVITIES
Our school day begins with free choice activity time. This offers a variety of literacy experiences in science, sensory, math, reading readiness, art, block building, and imaginative play. These activities are designed to give the children an opportunity to socialize and experience a variety of center areas both child and teacher-directed. We meet regularly for circle time during which the children participate in teacher-directed activities including calendar, songs, rhyming, stories, and thematic activities centered around our weekly and monthly topics. Exposure to letters, fun phonics, numbers, colors, shapes, and sight words are directly related to our monthly themes to make learning more meaningful.
