At House of Parker Preschool, we believe that childhood is a magical and meaningful journey, not a race. Our preschool in Gorham, Maine, is thoughtfully designed to create a warm, welcoming space where your little ones can explore, learn, and grow with comfort and confidence. We embrace play as the foundation of discovery, creativity, and growth, valuing and nurturing each child to explore their world with curiosity and confidence.
From the moment you walk through our doors, you’ll notice the difference. Each corner of our classroom is intentionally crafted to spark curiosity and encourage imaginative play. Our daily schedule includes a variety of activities such as free play, table activities, group time, storytime, and outdoor play, all designed to foster socialization, collaboration, problem-solving, and hands-on learning. We offer programs for different age groups, including Littles (3 years old), Preschool (4-6 years old), and Pre-Kindergarten (4-6 years old), with a maximum class size of 12 and a teacher-to-student ratio of 2:12. Whether your child is building with blocks, painting a masterpiece, or discovering the wonders of nature outside, every activity is guided by the belief that play is the foundation of discovery, creativity, and growth.
Our philosophy is simple: we believe all children are naturally equipped with curiosity, creativity, and a natural drive to explore. At House of Parker Preschool, we embrace who they are in this moment, giving them the freedom to play, create, and thrive in a space where imagination leads the way.
We are committed to providing a nurturing environment where children can develop a love for learning. As our founder, Mrs. Hanscome, often says, “Give me a student, and I will love them.”
